Everyone at Coffeeangel is incredibly grateful that you choose to brew our coffee at home. This article explains how and why subscription prices may occasionally change, and what that means for you as a subscriber.
Our aim is simple: to be transparent, fair, and to give you plenty of notice so there are no surprises.
Why subscription prices may increase
From time to time, we may need to adjust subscription pricing. This is always a last resort and reflects real changes in the costs of bringing speciality coffee to your door.
Key factors include:
Rising green coffee prices due to climate‑related harvest issues and global market volatility.
Higher shipping, packaging, energy and labour costs in Ireland and across the wider coffee supply chain.
Our commitment not to compromise on quality, roasting standards, or ethical sourcing, even when cheaper alternatives are available.
Where possible, we absorb these increases for as long as we can. When we do adjust prices, it is to protect the quality of your coffee and the long‑term sustainability of Coffeeangel, not to “cash in”.
What your subscription supports
Your Coffeeangel subscription does more than cover beans and postage. It helps to fund:
High‑quality, ethically sourced coffees from producers who are themselves under pressure from changing climate and market conditions.
Ongoing investment in fully recyclable packaging that protects freshness while reducing waste and environmental impact.
A skilled local team in Dublin, paid fairly to pack and dispatch your coffee with care, week in and week out.
Coffeeangel’s biodiversity programme, where we contribute 5% of profits to support local biodiversity initiatives and Nature Capital Credits at Dunsany Nature Reserve.
In short, your subscription helps sustain a chain of people, places and projects that make each cup possible.
How and when we change prices
We follow a clear set of principles when updating subscription prices, based on global best practice for recurring services.
Advance notice
We will always give you at least one full billing cycle’s notice (typically 30 days) before a subscription price increase takes effect.
Notice will be sent by email to the address linked to your Coffeeangel account and may also appear in your account area.
No surprise charges
New prices apply to future renewals only and are never backdated to past orders.
Your upcoming order total will be visible in your account before you are charged.
Reasonable frequency
We review pricing periodically but aim to limit subscription price changes to no more than once per year, unless there are exceptional cost movements outside our control.
If you ever feel something doesn’t look right on your subscription, our team is only an email away.
Your options if prices change
You are always in control of your Coffeeangel subscription. If we announce a price increase, you have several options.
Stay as you are
If you’re happy with the new price, no action is needed. Your subscription will renew as normal after the notice period.
Adjust your subscription
You can change your coffee, grind, bag size or delivery frequency at any time to find a level that suits your taste and budget.
These changes can be made directly through your Coffeeangel account, or by contacting our team for help.
Cancel after your minimum term
All new subscriptions come with a three‑order minimum. Once that minimum is met, you are free to cancel at any time before the new price takes effect.
