What is the difference between the two espresso grind size options?

We received feedback that some people's home machines were struggling with the fineness of our standard espresso grind, so we added a second espresso grind option for certain models of domestic machines.

The 'domestic' grind size is just a little coarser than the semi-pro to deal with machines with slightly weaker pumps - ensuring the coffee does not choke your machine.

The espresso_domestic setting should be suitable for some of the following machine brands:

・De'Longhi

・Krups

・Gaggia (Gran / Carezza)

The espresso_semi-pro grind should be suitable for some of the following machine brands:

・Gaggia (Classic)

・Rancilio

・Sage / Breville

・La Spaziale

With so many domestic brands and machines on the market, we can not provide advice on all of them. But as a starting point, if your espresso machine cost less than €500, you may be best advised to try the espresso_domestic setting first.

If you have ordered our standard espresso grind from us previously - and it brewed well - simply choose the espresso_semi-pro grind option from now on.

Hope this help!

Karl
